Saturday

Today was a proper ultra training day! Pretty tough but within my limits. I walked the dogs for a mile fully dressed in my running gear. Put my prepared vest on as soon as I got back home. Then went straight out for a half marathon. The Wife got a PB, which she was happy with. The halfy route purposely finished 4 and a half miles from home. So we could immediately back the run up with a walk. Overall 4 and a half hours on my feet. I think this is a sensible way to approach my training, as currently I cannot run for 4 and a half hours. So to have that time on my feet in on go is helpful.

Older Yet Faster foot exercises, 5 minutes of Lifepro Sonic massage gun on all lower leg muscles.

Food

Breakfast – sirloin steak and eggs

Lunch – prime beef bars, salami sticks and fruit bars

Dinner – chicken thighs and drumsticks
