How did you eat before Carnivore

Paleo, then keto for over 15 years. I’ve never eaten the standard American diet.

Why did you try Carnivore to begin with

Danny Vega introduced me to the idea when I was suffering with autoimmune disease. It took me a long time to actually try it. I was in my third emergency room in a row, 70 lb at 5-6 and desperate to gain weight. They said I would have to remove my colon and be hooked up to a feeding tube. That’s why I decided to go full carnivore.

How do you personally approach the Carnivore Diet

This way of eating looks different for each person and it needs to sue our bio individual needs. I prefer variety and options within the healthy boundaries that keep me healing, supported. I don’t think that a diet is helpful unless it is sustainable. This is food freedom. I approached it with my newfound intuition and understanding that is gained with leptin sensitivity and systemic healing.

What benefits have you seen since starting the Carnivore Diet

I have my life back! I don’t have pain, I can think clearly and I have energy. My sleep is wonderful, and I am so strong! Mentally resilient, no cravings, so grateful. I have also reversed scleroderma which is pretty amazing!


What negatives have you found with the Carnivore Diet

They should really make chest freezers with better shelving.

Do you exercise on the Carnivore Diet, if so how do you find it and what do you do

I lift heavy and only do cardio for pleasure like light walks in the morning and evening. I do it because it feels amazing and I love being strong and getting stronger.

What piece of advice would you give someone who is interested in trying this diet, but hasn’t taken the leap yet

Take everyone’s advice with a grain of salt. There is no one diet that works perfectly for everyone. You are different from everyone else. Find a coach if you need extra support. Trust and appreciate the process.

Do you think Carnivore will ever be accepted as a mainstream diet
