Welcome to Day 30 of my Edinburgh Marathon training series! Today, I’m sharing an update on a challenging week where I haven’t been able to run due to bad weather conditions. However, staying active is key in marathon training, so I’ve adapted my routine to maintain my aerobic fitness.
Over the past week, despite not hitting the pavement for my usual runs, I managed to clock in an impressive 140,000 steps! This shows my commitment to staying aerobically active and keeping up with my training goals, even when running isn’t an option. I’ll discuss how I achieved these steps, the activities I engaged in, and how they contribute to maintaining my fitness level for the marathon.
I also delve into the importance of flexibility in training plans, especially when external factors like weather come into play. Adapting workouts to fit the circumstances is crucial, and I’ll share tips on how to do so effectively without losing sight of your overall training objectives.
Join me as I navigate through these challenges and continue to prepare for the Edinburgh Marathon. Your support and comments have been incredibly motivating, and I’m excited to share this journey with you.
