Edinburgh Marathon Day 10 MAF Training: I am done with Ultras

🏃‍♂️ Welcome back to my marathon training journey! Today marks Day 10 of my preparation for the Edinburgh Marathon, and I’ve got a special update for you all. Join me as I delve into a 1-hour and 5-minute MAF heart rate run, exploring the beautiful balance between pushing limits and listening to my body.

🌟 In this episode, I share some personal reflections on my athletic journey. While I’ve been nurturing a dream to complete a 100-mile ultramarathon, I’ve realized that sometimes, dreams evolve. I’m finding immense joy in marathon training, a process that’s reshaping my goals and aspirations.

🏞️ As much as I love the idea of ultra training, it’s a massive commitment that would significantly impact my other passions, like hiking and camping. I believe in a life of balance and following what brings joy. So, for now, I’m putting the ultra dream on hold to fully immerse myself in the marathon experience and enjoy my outdoor adventures.

🏋️‍♂️ Speaking of new passions, I’m currently hooked on Sam Sulek’s YouTube videos! His approach to weightlifting and being a hybrid athlete is truly inspiring. It’s stirred up a desire in me to explore weightlifting more seriously and become a more versatile, hybrid athlete myself.

🤔 In this video, I discuss the importance of flexibility in training, adapting to life’s changes, and the excitement of evolving as an athlete. Whether you’re a runner, a hiker, or just someone who loves staying active, I hope my journey inspires you to find your unique path.
