Running, to run The Wall Ultramarathon 2021 – Week 6 & The Edinburgh Virtual 10k and Halfmarathon

The Wall is an Ultramarathon. 69 miles from Carlisle to Gateshead, UK. Race is June 2021.

The training continues.

So way back in May I was meant to do the Edinburgh halfmarathon for my 40th, and The Wife was meant to do the 10k on the same weekend.

I ended up celebrating my 40th in my garden because of lockdown.

The races got rescheduled to September 5th and 6th. Guess what? they got cancelled again, and then turned into virtual races.

So we have eventually done the races around our home trails. The Wife and I both did the 10k on Sat 5th and the halfy on Sun 6th.

We have missed out on a lot of experiences in 2020, and I am not sure how necessary it has all been. I do know, that The Wife and I have made the best effort we could to have the best time possible.

And we are definitely fitter today than we were  when all this kicked off in back in the Spring.
