Carnivore Diet success stories – with Kurt

Interview with Kurt

1) Introduce Yourself.

Karnivore Kurt (Kurt Yazici) –  Optimal Aligner | Carnivore Diet Expert | Entrepreneur

A successful entrepreneur, who’s companies have created more than $5M in sales in 2019.

His self-development journey began by climbing out of dark anxiety, healing long-standing gut issues and skin through the Carnivore Diet. Now focusing on optimally aligning to ancestral lifestyle teaching that incorporates the Carnivore Diet, movement, sun, sleep that are all optimized to give people the best performance and health.

2) How did you eat before Carnivore?

Clean, lower carb, paleo for nearly 10 years. Three years leading into Carnivore I was on a “Bulletproof Diet” with “Bulletproof Coffee” and Rhonda Patrick superfood smoothies. Eggs, bacon, butter, avocados and burgers were staples.

I ate a “balanced” “healthy” diet that included: kale, broccoli sprouts (I grew), spinach, almond butter, local honey, cacao nibs, flax seeds, blueberries, and cinnamon.

3) Why did you try Carnivore to begin with?

Dr. Paul Saladino and I were friends that shared a common gym in Seattle. We worked out at the same times most days of the week. Together we stumbled across this way of eating, first him and then me weeks later after seeing and hearing him promote it.

4) How do you personally approach the Carnivore Diet?

I eat a nose to tail balanced Carnivore Diet mainly of grass fed beef, fat and organs. Specifically I consume beef kidney 4-5x’s / week, beef liver 2-3x’s / week and mix up cuts of grass fed beef: my go to’s include chuck roast, shank, brisket with the occasional more premium steaks, strips, roasts.

5) What benefits have you seen since starting the Carnivore Diet?

The benefits are profound and far reaching. Gut issues that were chronic before have been completely eliminated. Anxiety likely linked with those has subsided. Skin, energy, strength, clarity, overall vitality all have drastically improved.

6) What negatives have you found with the Carnivore Diet?

Gut issues and nuances when first learning it. Those were a major challenge and it took me a while to really figure out which foods and how to best prepare them. I write at length about this in my book because it was such a challenge for me.

The other thing I would say is for many it will be extremely restrictive. But it is incredibly satiating and healthful.

7) Do you exercise on the Carnivore Diet, if so how do you find it and what do you do?

Yes I exercise consistently. I did even before the diet. I incorporate around 1 hour / day to movement with purpose. I typically follow some sort of plan like P90X but I don’t always bring that intensity. I enjoy doing chest exercises 2x / week, leg and Yoga movements at least once a week. I also like to have cardio at least once and that usually gives me a rest day to walk and stretch.

8) What piece of advice would you give someone who is interested in trying this diet, but hasn’t taken the leap yet.

You can start progressively. Don’t think you have to go all in and eat organs and take on everything all at once. There are great videos on Youtube, two excellent books *cough* mine and Dr. Saladino’s.. Mine will focus on actually incorporating the diet and the plans, mastering your emotions. Saladino’s does an outstanding job helping us look further into the depths of the sciences and biochemistry as to why this works well for our bodies.

Again, if you simply just left the broccoli off the plate for a larger steak that’s a step. The more you can shift from plant foods -> animal foods the better you’ll likely start to feel and function.

9) Do you think Carnivore will ever be accepted as a mainstream diet?

Yes, the evidence and results we’re seeing are too strong to deny. It has become the new “Keto” movement for all practical purposes. It is ketogenic but brings MUCH better benefits to most individuals when done properly.

10) Anything you would like to add, and where can people follow you.

Yes, as I mentioned I have written a detailed book on this topic. People can get their copy at:
