Hello to my fellow adventurers of the asphalt, the trail, and the treadmill! The chill in the air reminds us, winter is not just coming, it’s here! And with it, comes a new chapter in my running saga.
Recently, I basked in the glory of the Kielder Marathon, a true test of grit amidst the whispering woods and tranquil waters. But as the saying goes, every ending is a new beginning.
Post-marathon, I found myself on the heavier side of the scale, accompanied by a chorus of niggles and injuries. It was a curtain call on my old training regimen, and the spotlight was now on a fresh approach: Primal Endurance.
Ah, Primal Endurance by Mark Sisson! The book that once crowned my training days with success made a grand re-entry onto my reading table. The pages seemed to whisper the ancient secrets of Maximum Aerobic Function (MAF) training and the low carb lifestyle. It was a call to the wild, the primal, the core of endurance training. So, here I am, dusting off the old, and embracing the primal new!
Now, what’s a warrior without his armor in the battle against the elements? Enter LEAKDRY, my newfound ally against the biting cold and the sneaky moisture. They’ve armed me with waterproof socks, gloves, and hats, ensuring my forays into the trails remain dry, cozy, and utterly enjoyable. It’s like having a warm, snug fortress around your extremities. The winter could huff and puff, but I would stay warm and dry, all thanks to LEAKDRY!
My days now echo with the rhythm of my heart beating to the MAF tune, the crunch of the trails beneath my feet, and the whisper of the winter wind against my LEAKDRY gear. The journey has just begun, and I am already reveling in the transformation.
As I venture into this new chapter, I invite you to be part of the adventure. Check out my YouTube Channel here, where the trails, trials, and tribulations will unfold.
