Introduction
Hold onto your steak knives, folks! Alain’s carnivore diet success story is nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Born and raised in the Netherlands, this 36-year-old went from being a vegan to a full-blown carnivore, and the transformation is mind-blowing! Why is this noteworthy? Because it’s not just a diet change; it’s a life overhaul. Alain’s journey is a testament to the power of the carnivore diet in reversing health issues and enhancing overall well-being. So, let’s sink our teeth into this meaty tale, shall we?
Alain’s Pre-Carnivore Life: A Plant-Based Illusion
Alain’s health odyssey began in 2008 after a stomach bleed that nearly cost him his life. Initially, he leaned towards a plant-based diet, becoming a vegan and feeling fantastic—at first. But then, life threw him a curveball—a motorcycle accident in 2013. Post-accident, his health spiraled downward despite sticking to his plant-based regimen. From digestive issues to anemia, vitiligo, and insomnia, Alain was a walking catalog of ailments.
The Meat Miracle: Mental Clarity and Physical Wellness
The first benefit Alain experienced was mental clarity. After his first bite of meat, he felt an emotional and physical euphoria he described as “bodily happiness.” The carnivore diet didn’t just feed his body; it nourished his soul. But why? The answer lies in the nutrient density of animal products. Meat is rich in essential nutrients like B12, iron, and omega-3 fatty acids, which are crucial for brain function.
The Second Wind: Enhanced Physical Strength
Alain’s second revelation was his newfound physical strength. Six months into the diet, he felt strong enough to exercise again. And not just any exercise—he began rebuilding his body from scratch. The carnivore diet is rich in protein, the building block of muscles. This high-protein intake, combined with essential fats, provided Alain the energy and stamina to achieve fitness levels he had never experienced before.
Conclusion
Alain’s life has taken a 180-degree turn for the better. Most of his symptoms have vanished, his mental clarity is through the roof, and he’s physically stronger than ever. His story isn’t just about diet; it’s about reclaiming life. Could the carnivore diet be the answer for others struggling with similar health issues? Given Alain’s transformation, it’s a resounding “Yes!”

Interview with Alain

1)Introduce Yourself.
I’m Alain, 36 years old, born and raised in the Netherlands.
2) How did you eat before Carnivore.
My journey began in November 2008 after a stomach bleed in Disneyland Paris. Due to a private ambulance service, and the need to pay money for that service, I was almost too late arriving at the hospital, with a blood pressure of 60/35. My quest for health and search for a better diet started after that.
I felt sluggish if I ate meat, and it took a lot of energy to digest it, so I leaned more and more towards a plant based diet and eventually became vegan.
In the first couple of years my health got better and better, and I felt amazing. I did start to notice a little more gas and indigestion after a while, but was still doing fine. I really started to believe in all the plant based madness, because I felt so great in the first couple of years.
Then in 2013 I was involved in a motorcycle accident. I had a torn knee and needed operations on my thumb. I had to take some really heavy antibiotics and have a tetanus vaccine. My health went downhill quickly afterwards, but I still believed in the plant based diet.
I started to try a more ‘living foods’ diet, and began soaking and fermenting. I tried it all but nothing really helped. l even tried ayurveda and Chinese medicine for a while, but those didn’t help either. My joints began to hurt, and my hands and fingers became stiff and brittle.
I tried pasteurized yoghurt, which is supposed to have the beneficial bacteria as probiotics. It gave me skin problems instead. So I started eating eggs, fish and sourdough bread, but I kept struggling and my symptoms worsened.
I went back to eating plant based, and tried juice fasting, which is supposed to be the magical cure for everything. Nothing really helped and i ended up with digestive issues, anemia, vitiligo, skin issues, insomnia, hairloss, poor sweating ability and oedema.

3) Why did you try Carnivore to begin with.
I had come across the book ‘We want to live’ by Aajonus Vonderplanitz, but it seemed utter madness to me at first.
In May 2017 I just didn’t care anymore and went full carnivore. I had tears in my eyes and started crying of bodily happiness after my first bite. The next day I had tears of joy just on my way to the butcher. The body knows best.
4) How do you personally approach the Carnivore Diet.
At first I just ate lots of soft medium baked steaks. I got a lot better, but not fast enough for my liking. So I turned raw pretty quickly. The body happiness made me less sceptical about raw meat. I’ve always believed that natural food shouldn’t be cooked, since all animals thrive on a raw diet and only humans are sick. l slowly started to eat more fat, and found raw butter which helped a lot. I reluctantly ate some organs every now and then. Now I eat lots of organ meats and fat, a complete turnaround.
5) What benefits have you seen since starting the Carnivore Diet.
I have experienced lots of benefits. Most of my symptoms are gone, my overall health is through the roof and my mental clarity is amazing. I feel like I am finally experiencing happiness again, and I feel much more connected to nature.
6) What negatives have you found with the Carnivore Diet.
The adaptation was pretty heavy and took me a while, although I felt a lot better within a couple of days. Also, I guess the people around you may think you just went from one extreme to another. Eating raw meat is not really socially accepted, but I have to say people are getting more curious now. I’m not hiding it for anyone and they even notice a big difference.

7) Do you exercise on the Carnivore Diet, if so how do you find it and what do you do.
I began exercising after 6 months when I felt like I had some strength again. I started rebuilding my body from nothing. I had been training for a long time before all of this, but this is next level. I never got these results before, and certainly not in this timeframe of a little over 1 year.
8) What piece of advice would you give someone who is interested in trying this diet, but hasn’t taken the leap yet.
To anyone looking to begin eating this way, my advice would be to just slowly start incorporating more and more meat and animal fat into your diet. Take slow steps. Slow habits stick for longer.
9) Do you think Carnivore will ever be accepted as a mainstream diet.
I’m not sure if the Carnivore diet will be accepted as a mainstream diet. It seems like mainstream is more and more against meat. Everyone is starting to eat less and less meat.
10) Anything you would like to add, and where can people follow your journey.
