Ah, Week 2, my friends! The week where the rubber meets the road—or in my case, where my feet meet the pavement for a whopping 40 miles. 🚶♂️
The Weigh-In: The Scale Doesn’t Lie, But It Doesn’t Tell the Whole Story Either
Let’s kick things off with the numbers, shall we? Drumroll, please… 🥁
- Start Weight: 211 pounds
- Start Body Fat: 30.8%
And today, on this glorious Day 14:
- Current Weight: 207 pounds
- Current Body Fat: 30.5%
Am I thrilled? You bet your last protein shake I am! Losing 2 pounds a week is like the Goldilocks zone of weight loss—not too fast, not too slow, just right. 🐻
The Exercise Chronicles: Walk This Way!
So, what’s the secret sauce? Walking, my dear Watson, walking! I clocked in around 40 miles this week. That’s like walking from County Durham to Newcastle and back, and still having energy to do a little jig! 🕺
And let’s not forget the daily 10 minutes of Pilates and ankle mobility exercises. Why, you ask? Because Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will my ankle heal itself overnight. But hey, we’re getting there!
The Food Diaries: The Carnivore Conundrum
Ah, the carnivore diet. The diet where cows and chickens start to see me as their natural predator. 🐄🐔 But alas, I couldn’t stick to it this week. Why? Because life, that’s why!
You see, the Kielder Marathon is looming on the horizon like a big, fat, juicy steak that I can’t yet sink my teeth into. And until October 8th, I’m going to be walking like I’m in a Monty Python sketch—straight out of work and into the great outdoors. 🌳
So, what’s a guy to do? Compromise, my friends. I’ll be eating more “on-the-go” foods, but I’ll keep an eye on the scale. The carnivore diet will have to wait, like a loyal dog, until I’m back from my marathon quest.
What’s Cooking for Next Week?
Hold onto your hats, because next week we’re ramping it up to 70 miles! That’s right, 7-0! I can’t run yet, thanks to my pesky ankle, but who needs running when you can power-walk like a mall mom on a mission? 🚶♂️💨
The Road Ahead: Eyes on the Prize
Once the marathon is done and dusted, it’s back to the carnivore diet. Because let’s face it, 12% body fat isn’t going to achieve itself. And who knows? Maybe 12% will be just a pit stop on this highway to health. 🛣️
