Quad Lock Run Kit & Car Kit updated review

HRP_6874

This is just a little updated news.

My initial reviews are here for the Run Kit and Car Kit, and they are based on my old phone which was an iPhone 6.

I have recently upgraded to an iPhone 8 plus. So needed a new case. Once ordered it arrived quickly. I was pre-warned it would that the box would say 7 plus, but the dimensions are the same. I presume 8 plus boxes will be produced in due course.

They were correct the 8 plus does easily fit into the case, and the case is of the same quality as the case I had with the 6. Just like with the 6 case, I have found i just use this case all the time. This is also because I also use the Car Kit mount. So there is no point having another protective case really.

The arm band is still in great condition, and has been used 2-3 times a week for months yet shows no sign of wear. So I did not need a new arm band. Even the 8 plus is a bigger phone than I am used to it is easy to attach to the Run and Car Kit. Whilst running, it feels just as secure as a smaller phone does.

All in all as I have stated before Quad Lock is an excellent option for people who want their phone with them whilst being active.

Keto Hana – Coconut & Almond Granola review

Keto Hana kindly provided me with the Granola in exchange for a review; they have had no input in said review.

keto hana, granola, keto, ketogenic diet, lchf

I am quite active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Where I am always on the lookout for Ketogenic Diet products and information. The majority of the time that I find an interesting new company, it is usually based in the USA. Finally a UK company popped up on my radar.

Who are Keto Hana?

They are a new company based in London, who make a Ketogenic Diet appropriate Granola. The owner follows the Ketogenic Diet lifestyle, and wanted to provide an option for people to have a nutritious keto breakfast.

What is their Product?

It is a Coconut & Almond Granola, made with natural ingredients. The listed ingredients are listed as hazelnuts, coconut, almonds, erythritol, stevial glycosides and butter. They recommend it as a quick breakfast option, and to have it with natural yoghurt. They state it has 3.2 net carbs per serving, so leaves you plenty of wiggle room for the rest of the day in regards to your carb intake.

Delivery

Delivery was what you would expect from a normal online purchase. It arrived well packed, so it would be very unlikely you would receive a damaged product.

Product packaging

The granola is stored in a clear plastic bag, which you can keep fresh by twisting it closed and tying it with a piece of string. This is a nice touch and helps identify it as a homemade product. The granola and bag are stored in a tube. The tube is well designed and adds to the product in my opinion. Not sure what the logo is of, but it is something you would recognise if/when they extend their product range.

Taste test

As recommended I have ate the granola with full fat natural yogurt. It tastes really nice. You can tell they have really spent time perfecting it. It’s not too lumpy but remains crunchy, and it is not too fine either. If it was too fine it would turn the yogurt into a paste. The recipe does contain sweeteners; however I did not find it too sweet. It also had a noticeably buttery taste, which is a big tick in my book. I have never been a massive granola fan, but this is an excellent version of it. I would be very surprised if people did not like this.

Price

At £6.99 it is not cheap, but I would not say it is prohibitively expensive either. Plus it tastes like a premium product, so I think the price does fall in line with the quality of the product.

Conclusion

I am not a big breakfast guy. So I will not be eating this regularly as a breakfast. Maybe for the odd weekend I will have it as an early breakfast. This product will be more useful as a dessert for me, where I will have it with some yogurt and berries after a nice keto main meal.

Quad Lock Car Kit

Quad Lock kindly provided me with the product to test, but they have had no input into the review.

IMG_2998[1]

Who are Quad Lock

They are a company who specialise in a smartphone mounting system for running, cycling and driving in your car. You put your phone in their phone case, and that enables you to attach it to the relevant activity mounting system.

Find more out about them here.

What did they send me

They sent me the iPhone 6/6s Car Kit.

This is a mounting case for your phone, so you can use it in your car.

Arrival

Once I put my order in, it arrived in a good time. It came in a nice box with instructions, not that you really need them. Nothing special to report, just as you would expect from any standard online shopping order.

Style and Fit

The mounting case looks really stylish, and I love the phone case. You can read the my opinions on the phone case here. I love the sleek look of the mount and it looks perfect with my phone and case. You can have the mount attached to the windscreen, or have it on the dashboard with the included dashboard pad.

Performance

I use my phone in my car for music and podcasts, however I have recently started using it as a Sat Nav. So this is mainly why a mount for my phone was needed. I have been using the case for a while for my running. So I knew how the mount would work. It was a little different to the arm band, but the same principle. The arm band mount locks in place, which is important for when I am running. The car mount doesn’t click in, you just twist it on. So you need to adjust the ball of the mount, so you can have the phone in the right place. This is really easy to do. I have used it daily and have never had a problem with the product. I prefer to use the dashboard pad, due to the angle of my windscreen. The pad fit securely to my dashboard, and has remained secure for months. You then use the suction of the mount to the pad. Again this was really easy and has remained problem free for months.

Conclusion

So I have the Car and Run Kit. They are both excellent products, of high quality. The mounting system is excellent, and is really secure on both kits. I would have no issues buying any of their other products.

The only issue I believe there is, is that there are a lot of options for people to upgrade yearly nowadays. Meaning your phone may no longer fit the mounting case. So you may be in a position, where you needed to regularly get new cases.
