Ingredients – Serves 4
300g Cream Cheese – cost of £1.00 (GBP) at the time of writing. I just used the Tesco Own Brand Soft Cheese. Full Fat obviously.
300g Extra Thick Cream – £1.10. Again from Tesco’s.
150g Blackberries – £2.
4 Cubes of 90% Dark Chocolate – £0.75.
40g Mixed Nuts – £0.50.
Instructions – Prep Time: 10 minutes. Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Put the cream cheese and cream in a bowl or blender, and whisk it together. It will be better if they haven’t come straight out of the fridge.
Put in the blackberries and gently stir them through.
Put the mixture in whatever you would like to serve it in.
Grate the dark chocolate, and sprinkle on top.
Add some mixed nuts on top.
It can be eaten straight away, but it would be best to refrigerate it for an hour or two.
The desert per serving; you are looking at around 720 Calories, Total Carbs 12g (7%), Protein 8g (5%) and Fat 68g (88%). These figures are taken from MyFitnessPal, so you could argue the figures up and down a bit but you get my point. The desert per person/portion is around £1.30. Please note I live by total carbs not net carbs, but I am guessing the net carbs will be between 6-8g.
This is obviously an extremely calorific desert, one that is probably best reserved for special treats. For example I made this yesterday for my wife, for Valentine’s Day. You could make it a more regular desert by skipping the fruit and adding a natural sweetener. As well as reducing or omitting entirely the Dark Chocolate and nuts…..but where is the fun in that!!!
